~ playing with soul fire ~

why do we enjoy pushing limits?  taking things to the edge? playing with fire?

why do we yearn for things we cannot have?

I've been thinking lately about spiritual connections between people... thinking back on my own experiences, as well as the experiences others have shared with me.

it is the deepest spiritual experiences that occur with someone who hosts certain traits of impossibility...

I am talking about the kind of connection you can have with someone regardless if they are in front of you, or 1000 miles away.  A connection that starts from the day you meet, and synchronicity grows and consumes you both.

Too often this person is someone you either normally would not be with, or are in a situation where you cannot be with them, and there is a reach; a sacrifice that is involved due to and because of the connection.
That sacrifice is accompanied by extreme pleasure
and by very deep longing and pain
you get to know each others deepest desires and all the faces that make up each others soul
and no matter what those secrets shared find, all you ever want to do is make them feel accepted
for these and many more reasons, when you fight with someone you have this kind of connection with, things can become almost insane...
and you can start to question everything you have shared with a certain sense of regret and satisfaction simultaneously...
it is at this point where you learn if its real.. if it is, you work through it and your bond becomes stranger than you imagined possible
or things simply fade, and you wonder for an awful number of years, what IF this or the other...
it is the quintessential dichotomy of human love..
that despite the overwhelming pain that we know will come, we long for the connection of this specialty.
Because there is Nothing Else Like It in the Known Universe
To feel acceptance and understanding on all levels is a purpose in life...
To offer that same acceptance and understanding to another is a purpose in life...
I cannot imagine something better...
Can you?
